Women Needed to Prevent Corruption
Women have a greater role in efforts to prevent corruption with all the capacity. Instead, women can be a trigger that made her husband of corruption. "Not every woman is his wife. He can only interact with hedonis," said Vice Chairman of the Prevention Pemberantasan Corruption Commission (KPK) M Jasin seminar on theme "Women against Corruption Indonesia" KPK building in Jakarta, yesterday.
Speakers in the seminar was the Minister of State for Women's Empowerment Meuthia Hatta and Executive Director of Hitawasana Insan Sejahtera Mayling Oey-Gardiner and artist Happy Salma.
Jasin explains, in the midst of male domination, KPK also successfully made the women as suspects, defendants, and terpidana corruption. He cite terpidana Hanni Wiyoso, North Minahasa Regent Vonny Panambuan and accused Athalyta Suryani. This shows that corruption is not about gender. Jasin remind the women that adhere to basic values antikorupsi. Values for the women to inculcate honesty, discipline, responsibility, hard work, independence, and simplicity. Women can become a precedent in the inculcation of values in antikorupsi family.
