Integrasi Konsep Kesehatan Perempuan Pada Kurikulum Akademi Kebidanan
High maternal mortality in Indonesia is a reflection that our concern to the health of women is very low. Not only to health, to all possible aspects of the lives of women. This is reflected in some of the papers that accuse the social, economic, and political in the world there are diskrimasi to perempuan1. as an example due to cataract blindness in developing countries who get their service operations than most men, with women (WHO). Similarly other health services can be seen the difference the opportunity to get access and this proves the existence of differences gender2. Of course, the leaders should have a gender perspective or lens.
With assistance from the Ford Foundation, YKPKmemulai pemberdayan and understanding gender in this Academy Obstetric, the potential for skilled labor in the service of women in Indonesia.
CONCEPT HEALTH WOMEN
Gender equality is still a discourse in our environment. In fact not only matters of life and expectations of the community; women significantly different kodrati that is pregnant and melahirkan3. This requires special attention and treatment of reproductive guarantee security. Fact that the death rate is relatively unchanged for 20 years, does not make us aware. Not to reproduce the results of infant mortality is high, the less we care about the women. Another task is to oppress women, treating children, including suckle which require full support (food, drink, house / place, energy, emotions, etc.). Raising and educating children is also a load of women, plus more with household tasks.
Women's health is also threatened by infection channel reproduction (see HIV, HPV → Ca cervix), hormonal complications / KB, teenage pregnancy, menopause, and depression.
Domestic violence also threaten women. Perhaps about 30% of women had experienced this, rather interesting that there is a relative small ethnic (eg japan: 4%).
The following question is who cares about women's health? And who is responsible? Where women have a quality service? We can understand that the political elite have not yet committed to the health of women.
