Cara terbaik untuk meyakinkan bahwa anak tidak terinfeksi dan kita tetap sehat adalah dengan memakai terapi antiretroviral (ART). Perempuan di seluruh dunia sudah memakai obat antiretroviral (ARV) secara aman waktu hamil lebih dari sepuluh tahun.
